The aims of the competition are to provide a platform for alumni from Nanjing University to exchange ideas, communicate and channel funds; to optimize the efficiency of “alumni economic”; to offer entrepreneurs with dream industrial resources and in-depth guidance; to support entrepreneurial alumni programs better. 

The competition was officially launched in June, with Nanjing, Suzhou, Shanghai, Northern China, Fujian, Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, as international competition divisions. Suzhou division, as the first stop of the Global Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of Nanjing University, attracted a vast number of enthusiastic alumni from Nanjing University and other universities. More than 80 entrepreneurial projects from alumni and by recommendation from Nanjing University were received, which covered areas such as information technology, biomedicine, energy and environmental protection, new materials, etc. The projects were highly innovative and fully demonstrated the entrepreneur’s style. During the competition, the arrangement of tutorials and project matching built a resource platform, promoted communication between entrepreneurs and industry experts, and achieved the gathering effects of innovation and entrepreneurship.
